Engagement photos in Tampa
An engagement session does two jobs. It gets you photos you want to use for the save-the-dates and the wedding website, and it gets you comfortable being photographed before the day when it counts.
Good reasons to book one
- You've never been photographed together by a professional
- You need images for save-the-dates or a wedding website
- One of you is nervous in front of a camera
- You want photos somewhere that matters to you, not just at the venue
- You'd like a guest book or sign-in display made from the photos
- The wedding itself will be small and you want more portrait time
How a session goes
Location planning
One location or two, picked for the light and what the place means to you.
Timing

Direction, not posing
Prompts and movement rather than stiff poses, so the photos look like you.
Outfit changes
Time for one change if the location allows.
Edited gallery
Color-corrected images delivered online with print rights.
What affects the price
- Session length, one hour or two.
- Number of locations.
- Travel to beaches or outside the core area.
- Prints, a guest book or an album from the session.
Packages are priced in writing before you sign anything.
Where couples shoot engagement photos in Tampa Bay
Bayshore Boulevard, the Tampa Riverwalk, Davis Islands and the murals in downtown St. Petersburg are the most requested, and the beaches at Clearwater and Fort De Soto for sand and sunset. Some public parks and venues require a permit for professional sessions, and that gets checked before the date is set. October through April is the comfortable season; summer sessions are scheduled early or late and kept short.
Common questions
When should we do the session?
Three to six months before the wedding if you want the images for save-the-dates or a guest book. Any time works if it's mainly for practice.
What should we wear?
Clothes you're comfortable moving in, in colors that work together without matching. Guidance comes with the booking.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, at most locations. Bring someone to hold the leash between shots.
Is the session included with wedding coverage?
It's included in some packages and available as an add-on with others. The package sheet makes it clear.
