Wedding videography in Tampa
The photos hold the day still. Video gives you the vows in your own voices, the toast that made everyone laugh, and the way the room sounded. Shot alongside the photographers so neither team is in the other's frame.
Who this is for
- You want to hear the vows and toasts, not just see them
- Family who can't travel will watch the ceremony later
- A highlight film to share in the weeks after
- A long reception with a band or a planned exit
- Photo and video from one coordinated team
- Drone footage of a waterfront or estate venue
What video coverage includes
Highlight film
A short edit of the whole day set to licensed music, built from the vows, toasts and the moments between.
Full ceremony edit
Multiple angles cut together with clean audio, start to finish.
Toasts and dances
Each speech and the first dances as complete, separate clips.
Audio capture
Lavalier mics and a board feed so the vows and toasts are clear even outdoors in wind.
Drone footage
Establishing shots of the venue where airspace and weather allow. See drone coverage.
Raw footage
Available as an add-on if you want everything that was recorded.
How a wedding film comes together
- Decide what you want delivered. A short highlight film, a full ceremony edit, toasts and dances, or all of them.
- Plan audio. A small microphone on the officiant and the person saying vows, plus a feed from the DJ or band for toasts.
- Shoot the day. Two cameras at the ceremony and key reception moments, one roaming for the rest.
- Edit and deliver. A highlight film first, then the longer edits, delivered online for download.
What affects the price
- Hours of coverage.
- One videographer or two.
- Which edits you want delivered.
- Drone footage and raw footage add-ons.
- Delivery timing if you need something fast.
Packages are priced in writing before you sign anything.
Filming weddings around Tampa Bay
Wind is the thing nobody plans for. Bayshore, the Riverwalk, Davis Islands and every beach ceremony in Pinellas are breezy, which is why vows are recorded with a lavalier mic rather than from the camera. Afternoon storms from June through September mean the ceremony plan includes where the cameras go if the ceremony moves indoors.
Common questions
Do we need video if we have photos?
Not everyone does. Couples who choose it almost always say the vows and toasts are the reason. If you're unsure, a short highlight film is the smallest sensible option.
How long is a highlight film?
Usually three to six minutes. Longer feature edits are available.
Will the videographer get in the photographer's way?
Not when they're on the same team. Positions are agreed for the ceremony and the key reception moments before the day.
When is the film ready?
Highlight films take longer than photo galleries because of the edit. The delivery date is written into your contract.
